Real estate agent lied to me about demographics of a building and up sold me on an apartment. I’ve never felt more ripped off in my life.

I'm very displeased with the type of service I received from one of their agents. I called and left a Voicemail for an apartment that was recently listed. I get a text message days later randomly late at night from the agent apologizing for the late response. Instead of answering my inquiry about the apartment she tried to push me onto two other apartments. I answer her and ask her to call me on Monday and didnt receive a call from her the whole week. I finally text her again about the apartment and she didnt answer me again. Instead she told me she can show me a larger studio for $200 more. I told her I was interested in the first apartment and then again no answer. What kind of operation are you running here? I honestly thought this was a scam from the one word answers she was giving me. I had to scroll back to the beginning of our messages to see how she introduced herself to find out she works for Douglas Elliman. This person honestly knows nothing about customer retention or keeping a client happy. I'm also guessing she doesn't like making money and she's a bad multitasker. I will not go through this company ever. What a bad impression. Get some better agents that want the money. Not play phone tag with people. So unprofessional.

I live in Florida I was selling a house in New York. Pat did everything!!!! I know many say but it’s her job or she gets paid to do that. I would only use Carmela as a realtor and here’s why; she’s someone you can trust, that’s personable and that listens to you, instead of a used car salesman. She never quit on me. She was very attentive. Her knowledge was endless. Her opinion and recommendations were always based my desires/wants that our family needed. I was heard for once! A homeowner accepted our offer and again each stage she was constantly making sure everything went smoothly and efficiently. The inspection came and we decided that the house had deeper issues internally, that weren’t a quick fix so we passed on the house. Soon after a family member sold us their house off the market. Obviously, she didn’t make commission and yet she still helped us with that purchase making sure our family had everything we needed. She is a wealth of knowledge!
