When my wife & I bought our first home we bought the house right next door to her parents (a la Everybody Loves Raymond) directly from her neighbor. Easy peasy. We didn’t even look at another house. Made an offer, SOLD! We thought we had our forever home until our family grew, the # of bathrooms didn’t, and we were flooded out by Sandy. So we had no idea of the stresses that could be involved in house hunting. Never mind house hunting during a pandemic crazed market. Add on top of that the fact that we had to stay in the school district AND get out of the flood zone. Out of nowhere, like a superhero, came Jill. She guided us through every step of the process and gave us honest answers to all of our questions…and there were many. This wasn’t just your regular move. We were moving from next door to Nanny & Poppy’s house. How many kids get to say they see their grandparents every day? So wherever we moved to had to be that much more special. We’re also working parents with kids who have an active social calendar. We didn’t have time to see houses just for the sake of seeing a house. THAT is where Jill really nails it! She took the time and really listened to what we wanted. She is intuitive. She was able to show us houses with the features that we knew we wanted as well as features we didn’t know we wanted but had to have. We loved and bid on every house we looked at because they all were exactly what we wanted. Best of all she tempered our emotions so that we didn’t over bid and hurt ourselves financially which easily could’ve happened with the market the way it was at the time. It was as if a friend was helping us rather than someone working for us. I’d like to think that we found our forever home. It has everything we wanted. We even got our first dog because it just seemed right. However, if the time should ever come that we want/need to look for a new home then Jill Dell’Unto would be the only realtor that I would call.
